Bibles for South America (BFSA)

It is now time for another BFSA project. Since our first shipment of 25,000 whole Spanish Bibles to Missionary Don Rich in Cajamarca, Peru in 2012, he has received two more shipments, for a total of 75,000 good, vinyl-covered, whole Spanish Bibles. And, through his contacts, a missionary or national pastor in every Spanish- speaking country on the continent of South America has been given Bibles. To God be the glory! We can rejoice, knowing that the Word of God will not return void and that many in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela (with a combined population of over two-hundred-million souls for whom Christ died), who had never owned a Bible, now have their own copy.

      Brother Rich is completely out of Bibles, and we only have $21,772.55 in the BFSA account. We are $12,535.91 short of enough funds to purchase the next load of paper, and we need to raise that amount before May 1st in order to save more than $1,000.00 in the price increase.

What about Paraguay? We have prayed for some time about another distribution point in another South America country. The door is now open. Missionaries Manny Rodriguez and Jim Showers are requesting Bibles for Paraguay and are willing to help distribute to other countries, allowing us to double the number of Bibles going into South America. This opportunity means that rather than raising enough funds for one truck load of paper we need enough for two (for a total of $46,844.37) before May 1st. The cost of paper is approximately half the expense of a completed project, but once the paper is secured, all other expenses like ink, chemicals, cover stock, packing material, shipping, etc., are covered by the regular monthly support and special offerings raised by our field reps.

The need is great, and the door is wide open. The opportunity is overwhelming: One distribution point in Peru, and another one in Paraguay, with a distance of over 2,600 miles between them, would be ideal. What can you do to help? PRAY!
